Important Facts about your Veteran Nomination
Criteria 1-4 above are matters of fact. That is, each nominee will be asked to verify these items individually.
Criteria 5 is strictly enforced. If your nomination is 750 words long, the judges will only see the first 250 words. Make each word count. We suggest you write your nomination in a word processor program so you can know exactly how many words you have written.
Criteria 6 should be the nominator's main focus. Judges are looking for veterans who are "Still serving" their communities and neighbors. Tell us how your veteran helps other veterans or where they volunteer or how they are making an impact in the lives of others.
Remember information items are required entries. Nominations submitted without complete contact information of both the person nominating and the veteran being nominated will be rejected. Your information will not be shared with others in any way. Contact information will be used only when necessary for clarification.
Remember to click on the "Submit" button. You will receive a confirmation of your nomination on your computer screen.
IF YOU NOMINATE THE SAME VETERAN MORE THAN ONCE, YOUR NOMINATION AND NOMINEE WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
THIS IS NOT A POPULAR VOTE, MULTIPLE NOMINATIONS FOR THE SAME VETERAN ACTUALLY HINDERS THEIR OPPORTUNITY FOR SUCCESS AS THEY WILL BE JUDGED MULTIPLE TIMES AGAINST THEMSELVES IF MULTIPLES COME IN FOR THE SAME VETERAN FROM DIFFERENT NOMINATORS.
